The Goal
The aim of the intervention is to design and deliver training activities on digital accessibility issues aimed at employees of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria and the staff of the Municipalities in the area. All of this is part of the PNRR 1.4.2 investment “Citizen Inclusion – improving the accessibility of digital public services”.
The project
The project was divided into two interventions. The first intervention involved the development and supply of a fully customized e-learning platform, designed to meet the standards of Italian Public Administrations through the adoption of the “Bootstrap Italia” framework. The platform, based on open-source technologies, was configured to host multimedia educational content. In addition to the technical infrastructure, the intervention included the design of the architecture, the implementation of the front-end, the installation in the customer’s environment (both on-premise and in the cloud) and the integration of training video modules. Training activities were also carried out for system administrators and tutors, to ensure their autonomy in using the platform, accompanied by the production of technical documentation and a user manual. The intervention concluded with the delivery of a complete, tested and compliant operating environment with the required standards, accompanied by a support and maintenance plan.
The second intervention involved the creation of an internal customer survey aimed at collecting data and perceptions on digital accessibility issues among administration employees and municipal personnel in the territory. In collaboration with the client, a 20-question questionnaire was co-designed and administered to a sample of 500 participants through a GDPR-compliant platform. The data acquired was subsequently analyzed according to both quantitative and qualitative criteria, and the results were summarized in a final report accompanied by graphs, insights and operational recommendations to support the administration's future decisions.
